After many, many years working a wide variety of jobs, I recently took a leap of faith and decided to focus on my artwork full time. I love drawing lines. My old illustration instructor would wince if he heard me say that, but it's what I love to do. And line drawings, of course, are perfect for coloring books. And guess what? I learned that I loved the process of coloring almost as much as the design process itself.
After completing a collection of illustrations for my first two books, I started branching out and using some of my colored illustrations and paintings on products. I have also been commissioned to recreate three of my designs on the backs of denim jackets. I used paint, embroidery and beadwork to embellish the designs, and though they took several weeks each to produce, they turned out beautifully.
